Space Industry Propels Brevard Economy into Optimistic Future
Highlighs from EDC Investors Meeting
The Space Coast Association of Realtors was filled with important public figures from all over the county and many industry representatives at Wednesday night’s Economic Development Commission August investor meeting. In addition to the unveiling of a new public relations initiative to support local military in the community, the event also highlighted new job development, and a special presentation from Bob Cabana, director of Kennedy Space Center. Lynda Weatherman — President and CEO of the EDC of Florida’s Space Coast — discussed the value of two new headquarters opening in Brevard. In June, Boeing announced the company is relocating the headquarters of its Space and Launch division to Titusville. In more recent news, Lockheed Martin announced the transition of its fleet ballistic missile headquarters from California to Titusville. Both headquarters will be instrumental in career and development opportunities within the area as well as promoting economic growth.
